Fae mythologises the body, embracing it as a site of transformation and transgression. The body's territory becomes slippery, oozing unexpectedly or blending into that of other organisms. The recurrent gore in her work alludes to the darker socio-political issues faced by women and queer people. Such dichotomies of tenderness and violence, of internal and external, have become crucial, seeping into absurd acts of regurgitation, expulsion and rebellion.
